Mysuru, May 23, 2025 – KNC Innovative Global School, one of the leading schools in Mysuru, hosted a transformative professional development session titled INSPIRE—Innovative Strategies for Progressive Instruction and Educational Reform—on May 22, 2025. Organized by the International Centre for Foreign Languages and Literature under the Writers Capital International Foundation, the event aimed to equip teachers and school administration with innovative methodologies to enhance academic and overall performance ahead of the school’s reopening on May 26, 2025. The session was led by educationist, author, and poet Prof. Preeth Padmanabhan Nambiar, Director of the International Centre for Foreign Languages and Literature.

The INSPIRE session, conducted from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, commenced with an inaugural address by Principal Joseph Frank, who welcomed participants and underscored the school’s commitment to fostering innovative teaching practices. The day-long program brought together educators and administrative staff to explore holistic and progressive approaches to education, drawing on Prof. Nambiar’s influential work, Holistic Horizons: Effective Teaching Methodologies for Indian Classrooms. The session focused on practical strategies, including culturally responsive pedagogy, social-emotional learning, and structured lesson planning, to create inclusive and dynamic learning environments.

Teachers engaged in interactive workshops, such as phonetic exercises to refine communication skills and planning sessions to develop schemes of work, term plans, and lesson plans, ensuring readiness for the new academic year. Prof. Nambiar, whose nearly two decades of experience as an educator and teacher trainer have shaped educational discourse, emphasized the transformative power of effective teaching. “There is no greater priority than the future of our children, and their well-being surpasses all other concerns,” he stated, echoing the vision articulated in Holistic Horizons (Preface, p. xviii). Participants were inspired to adopt student-centered approaches that integrate India’s rich educational traditions with modern, innovative practices tailored to diverse Indian classrooms.

Following the session, a strategic meeting was convened with the school administration, chaired by Dr. K.N. Chandrasekhar, Chairman of KNC Innovative Global School. The discussion explored actionable strategies to elevate academic excellence and holistic development, including integrating technology for personalized learning, promoting interdisciplinary projects, and embedding social-emotional learning to strengthen teacher-student relationships. Dr. Chandrasekhar, a driving force behind the school’s growth since its establishment in 2014, reaffirmed KNC’s commitment to innovation.

KNC Innovative Global School, recognized for fostering creativity and academic rigor, has a history of impactful initiatives, including an inter-school drawing competition inaugurated by artist Badal Nanjundaswamy and the 9th Annual Day themed “World Folk.” The INSPIRE session, organized by the International Centre for Foreign Languages and Literature, further solidifies the school’s dedication to advancing educational quality, aligning with the Foundation’s mission to promote progressive instruction and reform.
