A Decade of Purpose, A Year of Resolve: New Year Message from the President

As we step into the new year, I extend my warm greetings to writers, thinkers, educators, and cultural custodians across the world who continue to walk with us in purpose and trust.

This year holds particular significance for Writers Capital International Foundation as we complete ten years of committed work. What began as a modest, value-driven initiative rooted in the belief that literature carries moral and social responsibility has steadily evolved into a globally respected organisation. From its humble beginnings, built with limited resources but unwavering intent, the foundation has grown through consistent action, credibility, and trust. Today, it stands as a recognised international cultural body, listed under the United Nations Civil Society, with a presence across 87 countries and a network that spans writers, educators, artists, institutions, and policy-linked platforms.

Over the years, the foundation has expanded its scope through carefully structured ventures in literature, education, publishing, festivals, academic initiatives, and cultural diplomacy. Each venture has been shaped not by haste, but by relevance and long-term purpose. Our festivals, academic platforms, publishing initiatives, and global collaborations have been designed to create meaningful opportunities rather than fleeting recognition, ensuring that writers and cultural contributors are supported with dignity and seriousness.

The coming year marks a decisive phase of expansion. As we celebrate our tenth anniversary, we are prepared to widen our global reach further, strengthen our institutional frameworks, and offer deeper engagement for writers across languages and regions. This expansion is guided by a renewed vision and a sharpened mission, focused on quality, inclusivity, and long-term cultural impact rather than momentary visibility.

As President, I carry this responsibility with humility and resolve. Leadership, to me, is not defined by scale but by accountability. It demands consistency, ethical clarity, and the courage to protect foundational values even as the organisation grows. The trust placed in us by writers and partners worldwide remains central to every decision we make, and I remain personally committed to honouring that trust through principled leadership and transparent action.

In the year ahead, Writers Capital International Foundation will continue to strengthen its position as a credible global organisation in literature, education, and the arts. We move forward conscious of the responsibilities that come with growth, aware that influence must always be balanced by integrity.

I extend my sincere gratitude to our patrons, advisors, directors, coordinators, partners, and every writer and collaborator who has been part of this journey. The foundation’s growth across continents has been possible only because of their discipline, integrity, and quiet commitment. The path ahead requires clarity of thought and firmness of action, and we are prepared for both.

I wish you a year of clarity, creative strength, and purposeful engagement.

With resolve and gratitude,

Preeth Padmanabhan Nambiar
President
Writers Capital International Foundation
